Top 3 Korean Food

Food comes first than anything, right? Jadi dibanding aku menulis tentang tempat wisata korea, atau bahkan tempat belanja, aku memilih makanan Korea yang ingin dicoba. 🙂

I never been to Republic of Korea, but when I watched its variety show, I automatically fall in love with it. Not because I like the drama, actor, or actress, but I like the culture more.

Karena terlanjur jatuh cinta dengan negaranya, I was curious what Korean food tastes like, so me and my friends visited Korean Restaurant one day. So excited when I first tried to taste kimchi. The taste a bit weird, as an Indonesian, I found that kimchi is still tolerable with my tounge. Bit spicy and sour. What the most tolerable is bibimbap. Yeah, its taste is pretty familiar. It’s all about preference.

Dari jenis-jenis makanan yang disediakan di resto Korea, I’ve tried tteokpoki, bibimbap, makgeoli, ramyeon, and even soju because I was too curious about how delicious Koread food and drink is. But what I never found in Korean Restaurant in Jakarta so far,

  • Jjolmyeon

Mirip bibimbap, tapi jjolmyeon gak pake nasi, tapi mi. I found this cuisine through Running Man variety show episode 55. This was the food that Lee Kwangsoo and f(x) Luna ordered in the mission. Such an appetite. It looks so delicious, attempting me to try, but I can’t find the restaurant which serves this menu. 🙂

  • Jajangmyeon

Next is Jajangmyeon. May be you heard this one a lot. Pastinya. Yup, it appears many times if you watch Korean drama or movie. But if you take a look, jajangmyeon served in Chinese Restaurant in Korea. So whether it’s originally from Korea or China, I still want to try this one in Korea. It’s pretty hard to look for jajangmyeon in Jakarta, I ever visited Mu Gung Hwa Restaurant and find this menu on its menu list. Seneng banget waktu liat di meni, begitu pesan, ternyata gak available. Pretty bad. So if one day I visit Republic of Korea, I will make sure jajangmyeon as one of my must-eat.

  • Samgyeopsal

This one! Menu ini yang bikin banyak orang ngiler. Every time this menu appears in variety show or Korean drama, it raises my appetite. Yes, it looks delicious. Mantap! But because samgyeopsal consisted of pork belly, it’s so hard to find it here. I ever once tried beef roasted (you cook it by yourself, just like samgyeopsal) but still, it feels different if it’s not samgyeopsal. This is the top Korean food, ever.

Satu hari nanti, pasti bakal mencicipi semua! 🙂
